Hi! My name is Carrie Bastyr (pronounced Bass Tear…like a crying fish). I write books for Young Adults. I have an amazing husband who cooks dinner so I can write and two adorably crazy daughters who keep me on my toes.
I am crazy for chocolate, peanut butter, butterflies, and the color pink. I love to stay up late and sleep in. I am prone to random unconnected thoughts, crazy outbursts, and sudden urges to sing and dance (although not very well). Yup, I'm weird.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan, not far from 8 Mile (not the Eminem side). I now live in Minnesota which means I have thick blood and can drive in the snow.
I'm an avid reader, and I'll read just about anything. The Kindle is the best invention ever! (Because now the husband has no clue how many books I really own).
When I'm not writing I'm hanging out with my girls watching Big Time Rush, singing along with Miley Cyrus, or dancing to Katy Perry. I think maybe that's why I'm writing for teens...
